#WWW – Whisky Women Wednesday

This cartoon was posted separately, by two friends of mine in an international Whisky Women group we belong to. It illustrates the misconception and stereotypes that still exist about what women drink or prefer to drink.

Cyanide and Happiness #3723, by Rob DenBleyker

For the record, I usually prefer my whisky neat. 43-45% abv is about the level I enjoy but sometimes do enjoy higher proof, cask strength, non chill-filtered whiskies. Like wine, I have no favourite; it all depends on mood, weather, company. I do like cocktails, but we are very lucky in Vancouver that we have a great cocktail culture here with delicious concoctions  well beyond a Cosmopolitan.

The question is why is whisky, as a libation,  still have a gender bias?

  1. I am a fan of good whiskey.

    1. I am not a beer drinker but do like a Coca Cola now and again 😉
